It’s a beautiful morning, really beautiful.
Lots of people here already, buying the fantastic produce these wonderful people have for you.
They work so hard farming, or cooking, baking, or preparing the produce they bring for you every week.
Today is going to be very busy, then all of us can have a small break, and hopefully eat enormous amounts of delicious food tomorrow.
See you soon🤶

Christmas Eve Market, weather is looking perfect, going to be a beautiful & busy morning!

And so to our Christmas Eve market. The weather is looking perfect. I think it’s going to be a beautiful morning.

So much wonderful produce to be able to buy. Matt says the strawberries at Gina’s Kitchen & Field Berries are looking good, not quite in the numbers he’d like, it has been a very tough season for them so far. They’ll also have apples and other fruit and veg, and Gina’s range of baked goods and condiments.

Con and Harry Fresh Fruit, Francesco at Virgara’s Garden and Jelly.PortElliot should have all your other fruit and veg needs covered.

For bread, bagels, and other baked delights we have the Basket Range Baker and Hey Bagels.

Eggs, and very good ones too from Healing Harvest Farm.

Chocolate, how could we live without it, Chocolique, cheese, just as important, Unique Cheeses.

Sweet and savoury delicacies, apart from being delicious, they mean we don’t have to cook, H Kouzina Mas and Anna’s Homestyle Baking.

Incredibly healthy Health by Flora.

I have a feeling De is going to be pulling out all stops at Calico Cakes, Mrs Claus.

Jelly.PortElliot also has the all important coffee, hot pies, pasties and sausage rolls, and Fleurieu Milk Company products.

Seafood at VICTORFISH.

And great last minute gift ideas at Garden candy and Studio Goolwa.

Our musician will be Brodie Muller, first time in the Rotunda.

8.00am till 12.30pm

Please don’t try to come before 8.00am, it takes time to get set up and organised, and tomorrow will be a busy day.

We welcome Barb from Unique Cheeses with her range of local & imported cheeses.

We welcome Barb, Unique Cheeses to our market. Barb selects the most interesting range of local and imported cheeses, and will take you through a tasting of them. She’ll put together a hamper of your choice of cheeses, what a great Christmas present idea, or a cheese board selection for Christmas Day. She has some incredibly delicious and tasty cheese, it’s far too dangerous having her next to our stand!

It’s really a lovely morning, a bit chilly, but the sun is shining.

Last week to order puddings from Calico Cakes, remember we have our normal market next Saturday, Christmas Eve.

And Minka, Kimchi Club is here today.

We are here till 12.30pm, come and enjoy our market.

It’s getting to the pointy end of Christmas, scary time! Hope to see you at the VHFM!

It’s getting to the pointy end of Christmas, scary time!

Remember as well as having great food our market has some great gift options too, a really good choice would be Market Membership, $40 a Calendar year ($30 concession card or Seniors card), 10% discount at every stall, and we donate to local charities every year supporting our community.

The Basket Range Baker has been experimenting again, tomorrow Jess will have some of these delicious looking pain au chocolat. Thrown me into a tizz, Morning Bun for breakfast, or pain au chocolat?

Or do I do the healthy option with Health by Flora’s soo good breakfast pots? Which I had for lunch one day, and could feel the goodness going in.

Or a sourdough cinnamon scroll from Kate and Dave at Hey Bagels, all sticky with honey.

Or a toastie from Bona and Angie at H Kouzina Mas!  Our Breakfast choices are varied and many.

We have a new stallholder starting tomorrow.  Barb, from Unique Cheeses will be joining us on the first and third Saturday of the month, look for her next to the Membership and Information stall.

Minka from Kimchi Club will be with us too, a week earlier than normal.

Our other stallholders tomorrow are Gina’s Kitchen & Field Berries, Matt tells me that this week’s cold and overcast weather didn’t do what they had hoped for the strawberry crop.

Only 15 days until Christmas! Look at many of the great gift options at the VHFM!!

I’m sure De at Calico Cakes does this to panic people! It sure has that affect on me! There’s still plenty of time to buy puddings of all descriptions and sizes and fruit cakes to from De though.

And just look at these great gift options from Kangaroo Island Living Honey, including Honey roasted coffee beans. Definitely worth having a chat with Shawn and checking out his stall.

Remember that Kate at Chocolique will be pulling up stumps when  the temperature gets to hot for her.

Still pretty cool at the moment, a lovely morning.

8.00am till 12.30pm, see you soon.
