Chilly morning here at the Victor Harbor Farmers Market
It’s chilly, and we’re set up well with signage, as well as stallholders spaced out.
Inman Valley Poultry aren’t here, sorry if I mislead anyone by saying they would be.
If the rain stays away it looks like we should have a good morning, people are respecting the social distancing rules, doing their shopping and moving on.
8.00am till 12.30pm.
There’ll be plenty fresh produce @Saturday’s market
There will be plenty of fresh produce for you at tomorrow’s market.
Virgara’s Garden, Gina’s Kitchen & Field Berries, Con and Harry and the Coffee Club all have fresh veggies and fruit.
Please, don’t crowd the stalls, keep 1.5m apart. Only pick up what you are going to buy, and do that with a bag. This is so important.
Albert at From the Grain will select your bread for you. Neil’s seafood at VICTORFISH is very safe, but again, please queue behind the counter staying 1.5m apart. The same goes for Chocolique , Anna’s Homestyle Baking, Feather & Peck and Lilyarra Cheeses.
We are out in the Fresh air, but we must still practice social distancing, not shake hands, cough or sneeze into our elbows, and of course, not be there if feeling unwell.
Apart from all that we should have a good morning!
New Stallholder –Peppercorn Pastures
New stallholders Peppercorn Pastures combine their love for animals and country.
They care for both offering great products of beef, olives, olive oil and heritage free range pork i.e. Grass-Fed Angus Wagyu X Beef Boxes, Berkshire Heritage Pasture Raised Pork Boxes and Chemical Free Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
New Stallholder –Feather & Peck
Welcome to Shane Brown new stallholder feather & PECK!
They produce pastured free-range eggs from happy hens who forage free in open paddocks by day and roost in mobile trailers by night.
A feather & PECK egg is tasty and comes from hens who enjoy more than 80% of their daylight hours outdoors.
What’s New?VHFM this Saturday
So last week we said our goodbye to Monika and Gunter with a card and some goodies.
This week we welcome Shane Brown from Feather & Peck with their fantastic free range eggs.
And also the excellent news that Brent and Courtney at Jelly will be selling the full range of Fleurieu Milk Company products that Monika had carried, and in Monika’s fridge! Look for it over at the red and white striped gazebo where you buy that most important very delicious coffee each week.
And I want to know if that more than 3kg swede that Ian from Gina’s Kitchen & Field Berries is coming to the market to be sold, or will be going into Gina’s famous pasties!
Farewell to Fleurida! Will miss Monika & Gunter!
It’s finally come.
The last day for Fleurida, and Monika and Gunter’s cheery smiles.
We will truly miss those wonderful eggs, the goat meat and Monika’s amazing German cakes.
After more than 10 years they are retiring from the market. We’ll miss them a lot.
A final farewell was held today, Saturday March 30th.
More eggs etc to come by Feathers and Peck! So stay tuned for details.
VHFM 8.00am to 12.30pm every Saturday.
