Happy Birthday to VICTORFISH stallholder, market original and current Chair person Neil Hosking!
A legend in his own words !😁
The South Australian Country Women’s Association Inc (SACWA) Victor Harbor Evening Branch will be here at the Victor Harbor Farmers Market Saturday 12th September 8am-12pm. They are all about friendship, learning new skills & helping our local community and meet 2nd Wednesday each month @ 7.30pm, CWA Hall.
The SACWA has been serving the community since 1929. They are not for profit, non party political and non sectarian. The organisation is made up of volunteers who work to promote the welfare and conditions of life for women and children, of all ages, whether in the city or country.
Their slogan is ‘Sharing And Caring With Action’. Sharing involves service and the giving of time, talents, efforts and finance. What is given in service is the road to what is gained personally. Caring involves friendship, tolerance and understanding of others.
The provision of welfare is important to SACWA, and they feel that social issues need constant monitoring and lobbying at local, state and federal levels. They also believe that education is continuous, heritage skills and history are worth preserving and leisure activities enhance the quality of life.
You never know who’ll you meet here at the market!
Leroy and Archie, the friendly Alpacas having a wander around on their leads. Much to the interest of a couple of dogs on leads, and most of the people who have seen them!

The small lifting in Covid-19 restrictions in SA at this stage haven’t affected the restrictions we’ve had in place at the market for some weeks.
So it’s still, shop & go, single shoppers preferred, no families.
Select your produce with a bag, if you touch it, you buy it.
Social distancing of 1.5m is still very important. It’s easy to feel more relaxed now, but we need to still maintain these restrictions.
If you meet friends and want to chat, please move out of the market area to do so to allow freedom of movement. We’ve come so far, and done so well, to have the market closed down now, or a lot of people and the market fined would be devastating. And of course Covid-19 hasn’t gone away.
8.00am till 12.30pm tomorrow morning.
Lots of Goodies from Chocolique and Anna’s Homestyle Baking for Mother’s Day for you at tomorrow’s market.
Other stalls will have things too. Or what about Membership of the Market if she’s becoming a regular?
Stallholders for tomorrow are the two mentioned above, Gina’s Kitchen & Field Berries (they’ll have chysanthemums), Feather & Peck, H Kouzina Mas (savoury only), From the Grain, The Coffee Stall, with Fleurieu Milk And Yoghurt Company products, Garden candy (herbs for Mum?), Virgara’s Garden, Strout Farm, VICTORFISH and yes, Con and Harry are back! Lilyarra Cheeses is coming fortnightly now.
Please remember that there has been no easing of Covid-19 restrictions as effects the market, so shop & go, single shoppers prefferred, no families, maintain social distancing at all times, and if you touch it you buy it.
8.00am till 12.30pm, see you tomorrow.
