Twilight market day, and what a perfect day it is too!
From 4.00pm till 7.00pm this evening you’ll be able to get all your Christmas food shopping sorted. Plus those pesky last minute, hard to buy for presents in a relaxing, friendly environment, some nice classical guitar playing, coffee in hand.
You can have take away dinner from Atomic Food, or one of the amazing range of pies Brent & Courtney have been cooking up at Jelly: Pt Elliot. Brent will also have the usual Fleurieu Milk Company range.
I’ll definitely be going to Chocolique to finish my Christmas shopping. Fantastic range of choices.

Dora and Bona will have these packs of Greek biscuits at H Kouzina Mas, plus all sorts of other goodies.

Neil will have prawns again at VICTORFISH, Gina and Matt cherries, strawberries and raspberries, but you better get to Gina’s Kitchen & Field Berries quickly! Anna’s Homestyle Baking will have all sorts of delicious delicacies, Feather & Peck are really hoping to make it.
Virgara’s Garden will be there, Healthy Sparkle Nutritious Delights, Lilyarra Artisan Cheeses, Inman Valley Poultry, De for your last minute Christmas Cakes and puddings at Calico Cakes and finally Mark at Garden candy, Herbs, veggie seedlings and succulents are great Christmas presents.
John and I will be on the Membership stand for anyone wanting to join or renew their membership.
It’s going to be a great night.

Don’t forget our Christmas Trading times.
As normal on Saturday the 19th of December.
We’ll have a Twilight Market from 4.00pm till 7.00pm on Tuesday, the 22nd of December.
Then the market will be closed on Saturday, the 26th of December.
We’ll reopen as normal on Saturday, the 2nd of January, 2021.
So things are back to normal on Saturday as far as eating and drinking are concerned. You can sit down or stand up, whichever you prefer!
For the foreseeable future we’ll have our COVID-19 QR sign up at every stall. It would be really good if you would register your presence at the market. You only need to so once at one of these QR code signs.
If you don’t have a smartphone, you can register your presence in writing at the log sheet at the Membership/Information Stall.
Our Covid Marshals are Gill and John Muller, though Gill may be a bit busy on Saturday, it’s the last day of trading for Southern Fleurieu Flora.
More updates about Saturday’s stallholders up soon.

After our first closure in 12 years I’m very happy to say we will be open again on Saturday.
As we are still operating under stricter Corona Virus Restrictions until December First please:
You must be seated if eating or drinking, so if you buy breakfast from Atomic Food, or Coffee or hot Pies or Pasties from the Coffee Stall, or Hot Donuts from H Kouzina Mas, you must sit down on one of the bench seats, or the chairs we will be providing around on the lawn areas to eat or drink. We’ll be spreading the chairs out so that you can still social distance appropriately.
Maintain 1.5m Social distancing.
Only touch what you intend to buy, and pick up produce with a bag.
Masks would be good, not compulsory.
Our Covid Marshal, clearly indicated in her fluro vest with a big M on the back will be helping with any enquiries, and making sure people follow the restrictions.
Tomorrow there will be the usual update of Stallholders. Everyone’s very happy to be back!
For the first time in 12 years the VHFM will not be held on this Saturday, 21/10/2020.
VHFM September Newsletter
https://mailchi.mp/344944…/vhfm-september-newsletter-4803030
Welcome to the resumption of the VHFM Newsletter. It’s been a while. Good things take time to bubble away and develop their character though, just like those delicious White Goat camembert style cheeses that form from the soft goat curd over five to six weeks. By the time Gerard has them for sale at Lilyarra Artisan Cheeses at the market they have matured to perfection. Hopefully the big gap in Newsletter production has the same effect!

It’s looking like the weather will hold off. Hopefully?
Don’t be confused if you can’t find Con and Harry, they’ve just moved down the other end towards the pedestrian crossing temporarily!
Positive comments from people who received the Newsletter by email, we’ll have some hardcopies at the Membership stand for people not on email.
8.00am till 12.30pm
We’ll have the SACWA Victor Harbor Evening Branch with us this Saturday, with a fully laden trading table. So make sure you visit them when you are doing your weekly shopping at or visiting the market, you’ll find some great food and crafts, and will be helping a group with a tremendous history of community service.
